Rain tree / 5 o’clock tree

En Plein Air, from the comfort of my balcony last Sunday! the huge tree is called Rain tree or 5 o’clock tree as the leaves close in the evening or on rainy/cloudy days.  The huge tree has beautiful pink flowers which are in full bloom during this time.  Bangalore’s roads are lined up with these trees giving shade and shelter during the sunny afternoons!  Water colour on handmade paper 14 x 10 inch
